We've seen every direct sales mindset come through, how they interact not only with their friends and clients, but also how they approach their business. I believe everyone can be boiled down to two basic types of direct sales mindset:
Optimists:
- Great idea, I'm going to try that, and see if I can make that work for my business.
- I don't know anyone, but I'm going to be brave and find a meet-up or a new vendor event.
- Well I tried that, but it didn't quite work. But that's ok, because I'm going to tweak it, and try again.
- I don't know how to do that, but I'm going to hit Google or YouTube and figure it out.
- Only I control my future.

Pessimists
- I tried that and it didn't work.
- I don't know anyone. All my friends already have {my brand}. No one supports me.
- I don't know how to do that, and don't have the time/money/resources/equipment to figure it out.
- I failed because of , or because happened to me.
Optimists own their choices and their outcomes. Pessimists blame their outcomes on external factors outside of their control. If you look for excuses, you will find them. If you look for opportunities, you will find those too. Decide what you're looking for and keep moving forward.
Now, we are not here to judge, or to tell you that one mindset is better than the other. But, one mindset clearly makes it easier to grow and succeed. Can you be a pessimist and still grow and succeed? Absolutely. But expect it to be a bit of a struggle as you get out of your own way.
#EmpowerSocial

I’m definitely a Optimistic person. I do and try new things, if they work great if not I just tweak it and try again.
